Patient Researcher Partnership Platform
Transplant patients, caregivers, living donors and family members have an experiential knowledge about living with a chronic disease or about donations. We need this knowledge and experience to complement and enhance our research.
To improve the lives of transplant patients and increase the donation of cells, tissues and organs, the Canadian National Transplant Research Program (CNTRP) has built a sustainable and meaningful partnership between patients and researchers. This partnership contributes to the realization of research projects that are relevant for patients, to knowledge dissemination and provide new insights on research that leads to new discoveries.
The Patient Researcher Partnership Platform (PRPP), is responsible for this partnership. PRPP provides the patients’ voice within the CNTRP, aligns network priorities and activities to ensure that the network remains relevant to the needs of patients and caregivers, and supports research teams to partner with patients.
