Congratulations to Dr. Rulan Parekh, a CNTRP Project 6 and Project 7 researcher, as she takes on the new role of Associate Chief, Clinical Research at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Rulan is Senior Scientist and Professor of Paediatrics and Medicine in the Departments of Paediatrics, Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Policy and Management Evaluation at the University of Toronto. She currently serves as Program Director for Paediatric Nephrology and Adult Nephrology, and Interim Director of the Transplant and Regenerative Medicine Centre. Rulan is a world-leading scientist in nephrology who has made significant contributions to our understanding of accelerated cardiovascular disease in children and adults with kidney disease, and the genetic risk of chronic kidney disease among African Americans. Rulan is a CNTRP Project 6 researcher and is helping to build the new CNTRP Project 7 on Improving Outcomes for Transplant Recipients.
