Requesting a CNTRP support letter for your upcoming grant applications

As many CNTRP researchers are busy preparing grant applications, we want to remind the community that you can include the CNTRP as a resource, collaborator or even Knowledge User in your applications. The CNTRP is a resource to the community that can:

  • help strengthen research

  • facilitate national collaborations

  • help disseminate and translate knowledge

  • link with patients and partners

  • support multicentre clinical trials

  • provide access to training

  • offer a standard immune monitoring platform

  • provide access to virtual biorepository system and biomarker testing

In the last CIHR Project Scheme competition, the CNTRP worked with 8 of our researchers to provide CNTRP support for their application and 4 of those applications were successful funded and are now integrated into the CNTRP.

The CNTRP encourages you to consider integrating your new research ideas into the CNTRP and we can work with you, through our New Initiatives Committee, to determine how best to support your application.

To request a support letter from the CNTRP, your first step would be to discuss your project idea with one of the Leads of the CNTRP Projects or Cores (www.cntrp.ca/research) or to contact David Hartell at 613-265-6942 or davidhartell@cntrp.ca. The second step would be to complete the New Initiatives application form to outline the support and collaboration you are seeking from the CNTRP. Please allow at least 1-2 weeks to produce a support letter from the time of your initial request.

Good luck with your applications and do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your research ideas.
