CNTRP 3rd Annual Meeting Feedback and Pictures

Last week we hosted a very successful 3rd Annual CNTRP Scientific Meeting in Quebec City, in partnership with the Canadian Society of Transplantation and the Société Québécoise de Transplantation. Over 110 researchers, patients, trainees and partners attended our CNTRP Research Day on Oct 13 and participated in the Joint CST-CNTRP-SQT meeting. It was great to connect with everyone in person and hear about the amazing research we are doing together and it was inspiring to see many new ideas and collaborations arise from the meeting. This was also our first CNTRP meeting where our patient partners were fully integrated into the meeting and provided valuable scientific and experiential input into our discussions. A special thanks to Sylvain Bédard, our new Core 4 Patient Co-Lead, Dr. Marie-Chantal Fortin, the Core 4 Research Co-Lead, and all our patients and family members for enriching our experience in Quebec City.

Special thanks as well to Dr. Marc Ouellette & Dr. Serge Desnoyer (CIHR-III), Fran Paradiso-Hardy, John Howell & Brenda Lee (Astellas), Elizabeth Myles & Elisabeth Fowler (Kidney Foundation of Canada) and Kim Young & Peter Nickerson (CBS) for attending the meeting, engaging with our researchers and sharing their insights with us. In addition, we would like to thank Dr. Atul Humar, Dr. Jag Gill, Dr. Sacha De Serres, Rob Gallaher, and Holly Fan of the Canadian Society of Transplantation (CST) and France Mathe of the Société Québécoise de Transplantation (SQT) for their help and support in organizing the joint meeting and social event. Finally, thank you to Drs. Donna Wall and Mélanie Dieudé for their dedication and hard work in organizing and chairing our very successful CNTRP meeting in Quebec City.
