Two new job postings in donation and transplantation - CBS and Alberta Transplant Institute

The Alberta Transplant Institute at the University of Alberta is currently hiring for the position of Director of Operations.

This senior position serves as the primary connector between its membership and senior leadership at the University of Alberta, support services across the campus, the leadership at the provincial ministry of health and in broad research networks. The individual will perform a diverse array of duties that will include ATI-related contractual and transactional reporting responsibilities. This position requires a high-functioning, proactive, personally motivated administrative professional with scientific and network building experience.

Canadian Blood Services is also looking to hire a Senior Program Manager, Deceased Donation, to work with their national team of experts to help increase donation in Canada.

This role will work within a cohesive, high functioning team engaging clinical, academic and administrative leaders from multiple disciplines and communities across Canada including the donation, critical care, patient advocacy, transplantation and health quality communities. This role will be responsible for the oversight of multiple interprovincial initiatives and committees, and will support experts in the delivery of evidence based leading practice and clinical guideline development, system performance improvement, data and analytics and professional education. The role will inform strategy and support processes to translate this knowledge to clinical practice at the bedside and will inform strategy and process to assess the adoption and impact of this work on our communities and patients.
